This was super cool! I never knew it was so easy to make gnocchi. I just assumed it would be very hard.

Thanks! The fact that I was a teacher must have helped with speaking for an hour 😂

I used to watch my great grandmother make this many years ago. My favorite part was when she would pinch the ends with her thumb to make each individual gnocchi.

You're welcome, Valentina. Your video about making gnocchi just popped into my email. I am not sure why, but I take it as a sign! I am a songwriter who specializes in fun and whimsical songs, mostly Italian American and about Italian food. (www.tomtorriglia.com/catalogue.html).

My arrangement of Bella Ciao was used last year during a cooking segment on the Jennifer Hudson show, my The Pasta Song was used in two of Michael Chiarello's Napa cooking shows, The Pesto song and Cannoli song were both used on web sites, my The Pasta Song was used for three years in a TV commercial for Carrabba's Italian restaurant, etc.

If you ever want to add some music to a video, I hope you'll consider taking a listen to my material.

I enjoyed your guide to pastas. It was spot on. I live in Genova and usually get the Voiella. I'll pick up some Rummo next time I go.

Thanks, Tom

Excellent “how to video” on gnocchi making that brought warm memories of my mother making them in our home. Good explanations of the how and why aspects of this classic Italian dish like the preferred type of potatoes to use and the potatoes’ age, old ones ( patate vecchie). I liked the unedited home video format used. It connects in a lively and effective way the author’s culinary skills and sensuality with the viewer. Bravo Valentina! Well done.
